Ms. Nichols has taught at Prism Education Center since it opened in 2012. She has a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Arkansas. She functions as the Head Teacher for elementary students. In this role she develops curriculum, coordinates programs, mentors incoming teachers, coordinates all parental outreach, and is highly involved in staff development.
Ms. Brittany is a lead teacher at Prism North. She has been with Prism since its first year where she started as a member of Prism's board. The past four years of her time at Prism have been as a lead teacher in the lower and upper elementary classrooms. She received her B.A. in Early Childhood Education from Arkansas Tech University. This is her ninth year teaching and she continues to love what she does. When not at Prism, Brittany enjoys cycling on her pretty purple road bike, spending time with friends, capturing life behind the lens of a camera, and traveling both near and far.
Ms. Caitlin Webster has been a teacher at Prism since 2013, when she started in the after-school program as an AmeriCorps Service Member. She taught for several years in the elementary level at Prism and currently teaches language arts and history in our middle school and high school grades. In addition to teaching she works with high school students to track their progress towards completing Prism's graduation requirements and provides them with opportunities to pursue college options. Ms. Caitlin earned her BA in American History and Cultures from Kennesaw State University in Atlanta, Georgia in 2013 and then promptly moved to Fayetteville, Arkansas upon graduation to become a part of the teaching team at Prism Education Center.
Ms. Chanly Young has taught at Prism since it opened in 2012. She has a Bachelor's degree in Theology and a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from John Brown University. Ms. Chanly is the lead teacher for literacy in grades 1-2. In addition, she coordinates the tutoring program. Her experience in education includes teaching preschool and elementary school for the past 13 years. When not at Prism, Chanly enjoys hiking and kayaking in the beautiful state of Arkansas.
Ms. Laine has been a Prism teacher since January 2016 and a Prism parent since the summer of 2013. She received both her BA and MA in Anthropology from the University of Arkansas, where she specialized in the anthropology of education, medical anthropology, and business writing in Japanese. Her experience in education includes two years teaching Introduction to Cultural Anthropology at the University of Arkansas and three years as co-director of the Arkansas Delta Oral History Project, a service-learning literacy program of the Brown Endowed Chair in English Literacy. Laine enjoys gardening, hiking, the theatre, and playing board games with her husband Ramey and son Arlen.
Ms. Katelyn is a Lead Teacher for the Middle and High School programs at Prism. She teaches Mathematics for the 6th through 12th grades. She has been with Prism since January 2016. Ms. Katelyn received her Bachelor of Science in Educational Studies from the University of Arkansas and is Pre-AP certified in Mathematics. When not at Prism, Katelyn enjoys spending time with family, running and attending concerts
Ms. Hannah grew up in Trinidad where she was involved in community outreach programs and taught at a values based school for three years. She then moved to Arkansas in order to receive her BA in Theater from the University of Arkansas. She has served in many roles at Prism since its genesis in 2012 but currently teaches biblical studies in high school and does coordinates student mentorship opportunities in our Flint and Steel program. Ms. Hannah loves being a participant in the process of students’ development. She is passionate about experiencing different cultures through music, dancing, food, and cooking. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, painting, dancing, singing, songwriting and spending time with friends.
Dylan Fila is the lead teacher for 5th grade as well as the 4th grade Math teacher. Dylan and his family have recently moved back to the US after spending several years abroad developing educational resources for underprivileged girls in India. Dylan has a Bachelors of Science in Mathematics and a Minor in Physics from John Brown University. He is also the father of 3 boys who also attend Prism Private School and Preschool. Dylan enjoys bicycling and motorbiking, basically anything on 2 wheels, and the spending time outdoors. He also loves reading, travel and adventuring all around the world!
Molly Fila is the lead teacher for 3rd grade at Prism Elementary School. Her degree is in Social Work through John Brown University. Molly and her family recently moved back from India where they spent 10 years developing and running a business and community college for underprivileged women. Molly has 3 boys, who all attend Prism, and is expecting a little girl May 2018. Molly likes to play music, read, and bike in her free time.
Caleb Bowlin ( A.K.A. Coach Caleb) is the sports and fitness teacher for grades 1-12 as well as the varsity athletics coach. His degree is a Bachelor's of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Arkansas. Caleb started at Prism during the Summer Program of 2017 and now works at the Private School and with the Trailblazers Program. He loves working with students in an active setting and helping them enjoy healthy living and sports. When Coach Caleb is not found on a basketball court or working, he enjoys playing board games, playing music, and spending time with his wife, Anna, as well as the rest of his family.
Stephanie Chastain is an apprentice teacher at Prism this year. She co-teaches 1st and 2nd grade and is the France homeroom teacher. Her main focus in the U.K. and France alliance is Math, but she also teaches Advance History and Science. Stephanie has a Bachelor's of Science in Education from the University of Arkansas. When she isn't teaching, Stephanie enjoys crafting and spending time with her friends and family.
Ms. Shakea is the lead teacher of the Transitional Kindergarten class. Before working at Prism, she worked at a Montessori School. She is currently getting a degree in Early Childhood Development and is in Prism’s Leadership Training program. In her free time she enjoys photography, spending time with friends and family, being outdoors, and spending time with her daughter who is currently a student in the Purple room.
Ms. Jerusha is the Lead Teacher in the Infant Classroom. She's been at Prism since October 2012, initially serving two years in Prism’s AmeriCorps ELEVATE program and working in the Infant Classroom since 2014. Jerusha loves bonding with each baby and celebrating their growth milestones. Jerusha graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Jewish Studies from Moody Bible Institute in 2002. Outside of Prism Jerusha enjoys spending time with friends and church, reading, and cooking.
Ms. Joleen is the lead teacher of the toddlers. Prior to this, she spent two years as an AmeriCorps Service Member at Prism. She has been a teacher’s aid for preschool, kindergarten, and third and fourth grades. Currently she is in the process of working on her elementary education degree. She joined Prism as part of the AmeriCorps ELEVATE program because she loves working with children. In her free time, Joleen enjoys reading, music, crafting, and sitting in nature as the sun goes down.
Ms. Lisa is the lead teacher in the 3-year-old classroom. She has worked with elementary school students, as well as kindergarteners in the past, and she served as a Spanish bilingual tutor in an elementary school for several years. She has an Associate of Arts and Social Studies. Lisa enjoys seeing the growth of the children, and she enjoys being a part of the personal development of each of the children at Prism. When she is not working, Lisa enjoys crafting, listening to music, spending time with loved ones, and painting.
Chloe Shreve teaches the arts in the after school and private school programs at Prism. Chloe is in her freshman year of college at the University of Arkansas where she will be double majoring in Economics. Chloe joined Prism because she wanted to be part of the impact Prism has in the local community. She looks forward to teaching students of all ages different instruments and styles of music. When not at Prism, Chloe enjoys running, hiking the Ozarks, and studying other languages.
