Well over half of the students at Prism Education Center have been identified as gifted learners. Over 60% of age-eligible Prism scholars participate in the Duke TIP program--a national nonprofit organization dedicated to identifying and support gifted learners.
Prism creates opportunities within each day for students who are academically above grade level to encounter a differentiated learning opportunities that are more academically rigorous. Additionally, accelerated students engage in extra-curricular programs such as the Duke TIP program, Odyssey of the Mind, and Beta Club to provide additional opportunities to experience advanced content or opportunities.
Students have the opportunity to take the PSAT and participate in above grade level testing each year to ensure they are being prepared to meet admissions requirements for selective colleges.
Students in grades 3-7 participate in our Accelerate program two times each week to provide above-grade level course content. Middle School & High School students also have the opportunity to take advanced content courses and testing.
