Join us for the Solar Eclipse!

On Monday, August 21, 2017 a rare solar eclipse can be experienced. We're celebrating this moment together at Prism and would love to have you join us! We have purchased enough solar glasses for students, teachers, and 100 parents and community members. Bring a picnic blanket and a sack lunch and join us for outdoor time from 11:15 AM to 1:15 PM on Monday, August 21, 2017.

We'll also be selling Prism Solar Eclipse Shirts (these can be worn whenever Spiritwear is allowed in lieu of a uniform) for $15. Proceeds from shirt sales will go toward Prism's Science Lab.

More information:

What should I bring? We are providing lunches and glasses for all students. We have purchased 100 extra glasses for parents.

Do I have to stay for all of the event if I come? No, but please note if you can only come for a little bit, try to make it around 1:00-1:15 PM when totality is projected to occur.

Is there a fee? There is no cost for participating, but shirts are on sale for $15 as a fundraiser for our science lab. Kids can wear eclipse shirts the day of the Solar Eclipse, on Fridays throughout the year, and whenever Prism t-shirts are allowed.

Will my preschool or Kindergarten child miss their nap? Kindergarten students will delay nap for this experience. Preschool students will only miss nap if their parents pick them up and join us for the event. We will not be skipping nap for preschool families.

How do I buy a shirt?
